Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Fharquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox attended her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She took a course in harpsichord and flautist piano over three years. Lennox lived on a student allowance and took off on a part-time job to supplement her funds. Lennox wasn't happy with the quality of her skills compared to others at the Royal Academy and began looking at other options. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. However, she left before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. She was the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until 1980. As part of this group, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox was then able to begin work on her debut solo album Diva, which was released by 1992. It became a huge success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album came out in November of 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano that Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. The album is a companion to her Now I let it go... art installation that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on December 25, 1954. The Tourists were a new-wave group that had some success in the late 1970s. Then, she was joined by the band with fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox's debut album in 1992 Diva was a huge success, featuring a variety of tracks, such as Why as well as Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa a studio album which was released in 1995, features songs that are re-imagined from her biggest hits, such as No MoreI Still Love Yous (and A Whiter Shade of Pale). Six studio albums by her solo as well as a compilation album are to her credit. |
